LEAGUE KNOCK OUT TROPHY RULES

1. Players must be a registered member of their club with an official Handicap Index not exceeding 8.8.
Players who are members of more than one club may only represent one club in the competition.
Juniors are eligible to play and all players must have a Handicap Index.
2. Teams, including 2 reserves, must be nominated and the order of play will be 1-2-3-4-5 for each match,

ie competitor No 1 from the home team must play the
No 1 from the away team, No 2 plays No 2 and so on.
Each team to consist of 5 players and Captains must exchange team sheets prior to the first match. Once the teams have been exchanged no alterations are allowed.
In the Final, team players must have played or been a nominated reserve in at Ieast 2 previous rounds.
3. Matches will be played in handicap match play format, full allowance.
Teams will score 1 point for a win and a 1/2 point for a halved match.
Should the score stand at 2 1/2 ยท 2 1/2 then the nominated No 5 players will play sudden death handicap match play, first player to go 1 up wins.
All team players must walk the course at all times during the competitive
rounds , only players with authorisation from the Executive and due to existing medical condition may use golf buggies and the home course allows the use of buggies.
4.The draw for the competition will take place on the Captains Forum night with 24 teams in the hat.
8 teams will be drawn first, they will receive byes but will be placed in the draw as away in the next round.
The other 16 teams will be drawn to play each other first team out has a home draw.
Dates will be set to complete each round. The home drawn team will give the away team 3 dates at Ieast one of which should be a weekend, (Sat or Sun).
Matches must be completed by the set date of each round. Should teams fail to meet the obligation to play by the set date the Executive will toss a coin to see which team goes through to the next round.
5.The winning Team Captain at each round should notify the Competition Secretary of the result, complete with team sheet, including nominated reserves, showing each individual result and showing handicaps.
6.Results will be published on the web site with up to date draws of each round.
7. The Executive will arrange a suitable neutral Final Venue with an agreed date prior to the first round draw.
8.Any disputes regarding the listed Rules and Conditions can be discussed with the Executive whose decision will be final.
